Vehicle Donations

The R. E. Olds Transportation Museum has built its automobile collection entirely through the generous contributions of many thoughtful collectors. To date, the Museum has received over 90 vehicle donations.

The Donation Process

Vehicle donation process typically begins with a review of photographs supplied by the donor and then progresses through an on-site inspection by the Museum, an appraisal if desired (the donor’s responsibility to obtain) and the arrangement of transportation. The museum works with donors during the entire process to ensure a seamless transaction. Furthermore, as an 501(c)3 nonprofit, donors may be permitted to deduct the full fair market value of the vehicle being donated.

Time to find your vehicle a new home?

You can also donate your vintage vehicle to support our operations and provide for the care of our collection. Let us find your donated vehicle a new, car-enthusiast owner and we’ll use the sale funds to help the museum. Just as with any other donation to a 501(c)3 nonprofit, donors may be permitted to deduct the full fair market value of the vehicle.
